Parents and Children Together Program (PACT)
Funding Source: Department of Children and Family Services
Parents and Children Together originated as a child abuse specialty program at South Bay Center for Counseling and has expanded to provide comprehensive prevention, intervention, and treatment services to at-risk children (0-17) and their families. The Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) and Dependency Court referrals remain the majority of our target population. Services include individual, conjoint, couples, family, and group counseling; DCFS approved parenting classes, and case management. The Parents and Children Together Program provides services on-site at South Bay Center for Counseling, home-based support/counseling (for families with transportation difficulties or extenuating circumstances), and offsite counseling at several elementary/middle schools.
All services are offered on a sliding scale fee based on ability to pay. No one is turned away for lack of financial resources.
Services offered at onsite, at several elementary schools in the South Bay, as well as the Los Angeles Unified School District.
