| School Readiness Program
School Readiness is a partnership between families, communities,
and schools to provide the necessary support, services, and
environment to ensure all children begin school ready and
eager to learn.
In order to fulfill the goals of School Readiness, we have
established School Readiness Centers at target elementary
school sites throughout the South Bay area.
At these sites, children, parents, and the community have
access to Health and Mental Health services, parent education
services, and support for parents of children with special
needs.
As part of our growing commitment, we have developed and
put into action a curriculum that helps parents and childcare
providers become effective "first teachers".
We are dedicated to linking parents and childcare providers
to the programs and services that enhance family self-sufficiency.
Our mobile resource van makes it easy for us to provide childcare
providers in the South Bay with books and age appropriate
developmental materials.
Our School Readiness Program is primarily housed
in El Segundo, however we have staff members at the following
